Route 2020 – Transport Model Update

As member of the Parsons-Systra team RMC was responsible for a number of tasks including planning, model update, ridership forecasts, station context planning and pedestrian simulation for the extension of Dubai Metro Red Line from Nakheel Harbour & Tower station to Expo 2020 site.

RMC reviewed the existing RTA transportation model and made updates to the land use planning and transportation network as well as coding various alignment options producing ridership forecasts. Following this review the planning data and private and public transportation network were updated to reflect existing and planned developments and transportation network within the EXPO 2020 area.
